From Difficult Installation to Effortless Clean Power: Skyworth PV Launches SUN Mate 2.0 in Vietnam

On November 28, the “New Energy & Energy Storage Application Seminar” was successfully held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event featured in-depth discussions on next-generation solar systems, the value of BESS in energy transition, the trend of two-part electricity tariffs, and investment solutions. Over a hundred guests from industry associations, enterprises, and channel partners attended to explore the future of clean energy development in Vietnam.

Seizing the Opportunity to Usher in a New Era of Residential Solar

During the keynote session, Ms. Shen Lu, National General Distributor of Skyworth PV Vietnam, provided a thorough analysis of the current landscape and future potential of Vietnam’s residential solar market. She highlighted that Vietnam is blessed with abundant solar resources, with more than 2,000 hours of sunshine annually—an inherent advantage for solar power generation. However, solar adoption remains largely concentrated in utility-scale ground power stations and commercial rooftop projects, while participation from ordinary households is still relatively low.

“We’ve found that many families are eager to adopt solar energy, but they are discouraged by complex installation procedures, high upfront investment, and construction challenges,” Ms. Shen noted. “Meanwhile, Vietnam’s continuously rising tiered electricity prices are pushing household energy costs higher. This is both a challenge and a tremendous opportunity.”

Simplifying Complexity and Redefining Home Solar

To address these pain points, Skyworth PV has conducted extensive research and technological development, officially launching the SUN Mate Home Solar 2.0 solution. The core concept behind this innovative product is “making clean energy accessible,” transforming a traditionally complex solar system into a consumer-friendly appliance that is simple and intuitive.

The most significant feature of the SUN Mate series is its revolutionary “plug-and-play” design. Traditional solar systems require professional design, complicated installation, and modifications to the home structure. SUN Mate eliminates all of these with its “no design, no construction, no modification” approach. Regardless of whether the user lives in a city apartment with a balcony or a rural home with a courtyard, there is a suitable installation option available.

In daily use, SUN Mate performs equally impressively. The system supplies power directly to the household during the day, significantly reducing grid consumption and “slowing down the electricity meter.” With Skyworth’s self-developed smart cloud platform and mobile app, users can view generation data and system status in real time, while also receiving professional after-sales support. This “visible, controllable, and cost-saving” smart experience allows ordinary families to easily adopt solar power.

Diverse Designs for Every Vietnamese Household

To bring clean energy to more families in Vietnam, Skyworth PV has designed three variants of the SUN Mate system, each optimized for specific usage scenarios.

The Balcony Model is tailored for modern urban living. Its compact structure and minimalist appearance blend seamlessly into various architectural styles. The unique hanging-rack installation requires no professional tools and does not damage the building façade, making it ideal even for apartment residents. Considering Vietnam’s rainy and windy seasons, the product has been further reinforced for stability to ensure safety under harsh weather conditions.

The Sunshade Model cleverly integrates solar generation with shading functionality, making it especially suitable for storefronts, house exteriors, and similar spaces. It not only generates electricity and saves energy but also provides a comfortable shaded area—delivering both utility and aesthetics.

The Ground-Mounting Model has gained broad attention for its exceptional adaptability. It supports multi-angle adjustment between 25° and 40°, allowing users to optimize the tilt based on seasonal sunlight. Whether placed in a courtyard, rooftop terrace, or even a camping site, it offers flexible placement. Even better, it can be folded and moved easily, letting clean energy follow wherever the family goes.

Cost-Effective Clean Energy for Vietnamese Families

During the event, Ms. Shen also shared a clear financial calculation: “For our popular ‘one-to-four’ balcony package, the market price is around 27 million VND, and it can help a household save about 5.86 million VND in electricity bills each year. This means the system pays for itself in just over four years.”

With a lifespan of up to 30 years, SUN Mate enables users to enjoy more than two decades of “almost free” electricity after recouping the initial investment. This return on investment not only surpasses most financial products but also gives households greater control in the face of future electricity price increases.

To further enhance the user experience, Skyworth PV has also launched a matching inverter-storage all-in-one unit. Equipped with safer and more durable LFP cells, it provides 2.5 kWh of storage capacity—enough to cover a household’s basic nighttime electricity needs.

As green energy awareness deepens and technology advances, residential solar is rapidly shifting from a “luxury” to a “necessity.” With innovative products and user-centric design, Skyworth PV is opening the door to a new era of clean energy for Vietnamese families. On this path toward a sustainable future, Skyworth PV stands ready to accompany every household in Vietnam in building a brighter and greener tomorrow.
